In this year, 2010, most of us are still relatively unsure what a webinar really is and what we can gain from participating in an Internet marketing webinar.
No probplem. Here is what an Inrernet marketing webinar is: It is an informative, helpful online meeting that any number of people can participate in. Hopefully the leader of the webinar is a qualified expert in the subject of Internet marketing (or any other subject that is being taught).
Here’s how it works.
An invitation is usually sent out to potential candidates, some just like you, to prompt them to be present during the Internet marketing webinar. You would then accept the invitation and be given some form of log-in or password that will enable you to enter the webinar.
Most internet marketing webinars require a headset so you can listen to the teacher. Normally you also have the option of speaking at certain times so everyone participating can listen to you. Or you can simply listen without commenting. Usually a chat window exists that allows you to type in comments and/or see other comments.
Internet marketing webinars are about 1 hour in time, sometimes longer.
The question then is, can you learn anything worth your time? The answer really depends on who the leader or teacher is and how well this person can do the job of teaching you something that you can use to make your life more satisfying. Also, it is imperative that you receive your Internet marketing invitation from a VERY reliable source.
Do you fully trust the person that invited you to the Internet marketing seminar? Or did you receive the invite from an unknown source, or a spam email?
The mark of an excellent webinar is in the information that you recieve. And beware, some so called webinars are mostly just pre-recorded advertisements that spend most of the time pitching a product or service. This is why it is so important to be invited by a trusted friend or business associate.
Another fantastic reason to participate in Internet marketing webinars is this: You can learn ALOT and most of the time it is free. But don’t let this stop you from paying for a webinar. A good one will teach everything that is taught in a very expensive SEMINAR. Keep in mind that a seminar can cost 1000’s or more but a webinar, with all the same information and teaching can cost much, much less, a tenth of the cost of a seminar.
It really can be a win-win situation for everyone involved. And the icing on the cake is you can make some very worthwhile connections in a quality Internet marketing webinar.
